About

mecord

I am a researcher and designer with an interest in the intersection between technology and human interaction and behaviour.

I am currently working as a Research Software Engineer (RSE) in the Centre for Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh.

In 2016 I completed my PhD within the Media and Arts Technology Centre for Doctoral Training at Queen Mary University of London. My research focused upon the use of sensor technologies (e.g. motion, physiology, eye-tracking) for understanding and enhancing interactions between collaborating musicians.

I have a broad range of experience in creative hardware and software development, as well as data analysis and research. See my CV for further details, and head over to the Projects page for examples of recent work.
